Hornsea also benefits from an 18 hole golf course, boating on the Mere (Yorkshire's largest natural inland freshwater lake), bowling clubs, retail outlets at Hornsea Freeport and the Museum.

Station Mews is an ideal location for walkers or cyclists at the end of the Trans-Pennine Trail.

You can visit the historic market town of Beverley with its magnificent Minster, cattle grazing freely on the Westwood and its interesting shops.

Nearby are the historic houses of Burton Constable Hall, Burton Agnes Hall and the Wassand Hall Estate.

You can also visit other seaside resorts at Bridlington, Filey and Flamborough or the rolling countryside of the Yorkshire Wolds.

Birdwatchers will enjoy visiting Hornsea Mere and the RSPB reserves at Bempton and Top Hill Low.
